elusive love

I just cried heaps, and I mean HEAPS, after watching the screening of A.I (Artificial Intelligence) on Channel 5.

Why did they have to make David with such real emotions that he spent his entire life seeking his mother’s love??

We humans can be so cruel in our own pursuits that we overlook the consequences of our actions.

I miss my mummy and her love too. :(   And Joshua kept kicking me throughout the film as if he needed reassurance that he is loved despite everything. When PapaNash cradled an uncontrollable sobbing me in his arms, while lovingly rubbing my belly and telling the baby that Papa loves him, it’s really hard to overlook the genetic need in us to be loved.

At moments like these, I really don’t know if it’s the pregnancy hormones that’s making me emotionally vulnerable, or it is just Joshua channeling his sadness towards the film through me.

Nonetheless, the moral of the story is so simple, yet so touching. The eternal search for love and acceptance…

    *hugs*

Also, it could be bcos the casting is fabulous. The child acting as David has such an innocent face that it tugs at the heartstrings. Moreover you are carrying a boy now..

It’s like the Protege which I watched, and made me soooo sad cos one of the leads is a little girl.

You can’t help but channel some maternal sentimentalism.
