The more it happens to me, the more I see the reason behind it.
I was brought here and arranged to have known you, so that I may reflect upon it and not become just like you one day. In the naysayers’ eyes, I may be completely inferior in all ways. But I wasn’t brought here to please everyone – I can’t and I shouldn’t even need to try.
Some people were born to be artists, some to be roadsweepers, and some are just born to be.
I was born to be me.
If you can’t standing looking, reading or hearing about me, close your eyes and walk away. If you can’t even do something as simple as that, I really don’t know what to say…
Thank you for making me realise my faults and the errors of my way. I only hope my pain-in-your-arse existence can do likewise for you; realising that a certain flawed quality of mine is something you should get rid of.
If some of you may find this too mystifying, simply put:
Do you know a very kiasu auntie that never fails to irritate you with her unglamourous penny-pinching ways – always bargaining and being very 贪小便宜– and you vow never to become like her? Yup, that’s what I’m talking about.
