During dinner at IKEA restaurant, we ordered a very delicious slice of DAIM cake. Joshua took an instant liking to it, and proceeded to chomp it with glee.
Hubs told the boy: “Leave half for mommy ok? This is supposed to be mommy’s cake.”
The boy nodded, but I didn’t expect him to be able to actually stop at half a slice. I was quite prepared to give up the entire piece to him. After all, isn’t that what most mommies would do?
But at exactly halfway into the slice, he stopped and refused to eat more. When I asked him if I could finish the rest, he grinned at me and pushed the plate to me.
As much as the boy loved the cake, he loved me more. And I couldn’t be happier about it.
